Let me share with you some photos of the Douglas C-47B N15SJ / 44-76717/D8-Z (cn 16301/33049) belonging to the American Airpower Museum, based on the old Republic Airport at Farmingdale NY. This particular Skytrain has the distinction of having actually dropped soldiers during the D-Day (June 6, 1944). Fully restored and flyable, it has been starring in many airshows and historical reenactments.


These photos were taken during the NoreastCon 2010 at the Republic Airport on May 1st, 2010.
